Who we are

Meet the family behind Snowy Pines RV

We are a former full time RV family!  After full time RVing for nearly two years, visiting 50+ campgrounds, and crisscrossing the United States more than once, we decided it was time to find our forever home.  We fell in love with the UP of Michigan for it's natural beauty, wonderful community, and all the idyllic outdoor four season recreation.

We love talking to fellow travelers and sharing all the tips we have learned as we go, Joe is a manufacturing and industry whiz and Amy has decades of organizational leadership experience, gained by leading nonprofits and camps, while the kiddos love making friends with all they meet, so a campground seemed the ideal fit for our family.

Frequently Asked Questions

Check out some of our most popular questions we get asked!

Will our RV actually fit?

Yes!  Our park - entrance, road, and sites - is designed specifically for YOU, the 40+ft rigs.

How big are the sites?

Our goal is for each site to be very large, averaging a tenth of an acre each.

Are there full hookups?

We will have full hook ups with 30 & 50 amps year round.

Are you open year round?  Can we actually GET to you?

Yes!  We are open year round and are right off of the main roads.  Please be careful driving in dangerous conditions, but our main roads are generally cleared soon after it snows.  Please do make sure you drive carefully!

Do you rent annual sites?

We do not offer annual sites but we do offer rates for travel nurses or other professionals with short term contracts if space is available.

Do you offer weekly and monthly rates?

In the off season Sept.- May, yes!  June, July, & August, we only offer daily rates.

What kind of winter gear do we need?

Our family bundles up!  Appropriate snowpants, coat, gloves, hat, boots, and sometimes even winter goggles.  Mitch's Trading Depot is right down the road and she will be happy to help!

How do we keep an RV from freezing in the winter?

We recommend that you talk to your RV dealer and join the facebook group.....{winter fulltime something or other} to learn what you need! You can read a blog about it {here}.

How far away is Snowy Pines from the Fall Colors?

We are right in them!  The 1.5 hour drive from our campus to Copper Harbor is beautiful any time of the year, but especially in the fall.  If you want to stay here, our colors are fabulous as well!

Can we bring our pet?

We will happily accommodate pets as long as they are not aggressive, do not bother/bark at people walking by, are on a leash, and you clean up after them.

Still have questions?

Leave us a note and we will get back to you.
